Temporary Assistance Officer for Adults with Disabilities

The area of adult and disability services consists of four units: the adult unit, the social psychiatry unit, and two units for disabilities.

The area is led by an area manager, four unit managers, and a team leader. The adult and disability services area is characterized by high job satisfaction and a good working environment. Workplace Description

The disability area is divided into two units and consists of a total of 16 assistance officers and one administrative officer. We are now looking for a temporary assistance officer for the adult disability unit due to a parental leave.

Your Role

As an assistance officer, you work with the individual at the center. The work is multifaceted as you, in dialogue with the individual and any representatives, will work to find the best solution for the individual. As an assistance officer, you are responsible for investigating needs, assessing and deciding on, and following up on interventions for adults with disabilities according to LSS and SoL. A large part of the work consists of collaboration with other actors, which requires good communication skills in both speech and writing. We are looking for someone who enjoys a varied job where no two days are alike.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in social work or a behavioral science degree that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Previous experience of authority exercise within the area of disabilities (LSS and SoL).
• Previous experience of authority exercise in connection with discharge planning from inpatient care.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Previous experience as an assistance officer within disabilities in the City of Stockholm.

As a person, you are stable and have the ability to handle stressful situations that arise in the work. You take responsibility for your tasks, initiate, and drive processes forward independently. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks. You are flexible and can adjust tasks based on changing priorities and circumstances. You enjoy collaborating and contribute to a good working environment by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach.
